General characteristics: Self-levelling 2K polyester lightweight body filler of low viscosity to even dents and irregularities in car repairs. Chamäleon Soft & perfect bodyfiller is characterized by its very smooth surface without pores which allows skipping the application of fine putty. Can be sanded already with high abrasion after a short drying time. Adhesion to iron, steel, aluminum, galvanized substrates, GRP and wood. No sagging of the filler.
Processing tips:
The substrate must be clean, dry and free from grease. Sand surfaces slightly. Remove not cured old paintwork and priming coats.
Do not apply on thermoplastic or acid products (wash-primer).
Mix well the body filler material with the hardener. Do not use more than 3% of hardener P! Under- or over-dosage of hardener may cause spotting in the finishing paint layer.
Clean and degrease the whole surface to be painted before every operation.
De-rust defective spots to bare metal and dry sand with sanding paper grit P80 / P150.
After drying, use sanding paper grit P150 / P240 for dry sanding. Sand the entire surface with dry sandpaper grit P240 / 360 to a matt finish before applying filler.
In case of filling work on non-ferrous metals (e.g. aluminum, zinced surfaces) it is possible to apply a priming coat to ensure an optimal adhesion before applying the body filler.
Do not overcoat without having isolated the surface with 1K or 2K filler.
Body filler can only be dry sanded.
